Welcome to the Lum School PTA

Welcome to the Lum Elementary School, home of the Lum Bears, on the island city of Alameda, California.

It is the money from donations to the PTA and from your PTA membership dues that pays for computers and technology in the Media Center and in classrooms, for field trips, library books, assemblies, after-school enrichment classes, supplies to improve Lum’s disaster preparedness, and for purchasing additional classroom materials through the teacher wish list.

Remember that your donation is tax deductable, and very often employers will have a “donation matching” program that will double your donation.

With your $20 family membership to Lum PTA, your family wlil be recognized with a sign in the classroom window and you will have access to extra features on our new website, LumPTA.net. With a $35 and above donation, family membership is included. The $100 donation and above adds the terrific Lum travel coffee mug to your family membership. These donation will help eliminate some of the smaller fundraisers we usually need to do throughout the year.

Your Lum PTA appreciates all donations, including the donation of your time. Contact your PTA and commit to donate your valuable time and parent power to an event or committee.
